Community Groups

The early disciples met together in simple, informal spaces where they shared their meals, their lives, their beliefs, their hopes, and their struggles. These intimate times together, usually in a home, allowed them to build a deepening sense of community with one another and growing commitment to God.  These groups are described in Acts 2:42-47...

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."
Acts 2: 42-47

At MissionWay we seek to build authentic community through Community Groups patterned after the ones described in Acts.  Community Groups are home groups that meet two or three times per month. A group meeting consists of fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and service. Everyone at MissionWay is strongly encouraged to be involved in a Community Group.

MissionWay organizes groups according to several factors: age, life stage, common interests and geographic location.
